The intensity of Sarah Nemtsov’s music arises not least from the reference to extra-musical content. This includes political and social issues as well as interpersonal constellations. This is also evident in her engagement with other arts and especially literature – as in her music theatre “Defect”. Another important aspect of her music is the exploration of the boundary between concert and music theatre.
